Monthly Painting Competition Rules

How to Enter

To be entered into the monthly final draw, complete these steps:

  • Follow me on social media
  • Join my mailing list — this is where I’ll randomly select the winner
  • Vote for your favourite painting (tagged #morningdrawingvote) during the final monthly vote (via Instagram comments)

You can help your favourite paintings (tagged #morningdrawingvote) reach the final by voting in the weekly rounds — every vote helps a piece get to the grand finale, but it is not required to enter the draw.

What You Could Win

Each month, one original Morning Drawing (tagged #MorningDrawingVote, and approximately A5–A4 in size) will be awarded to a randomly selected subscriber. These works are created intuitively and may reflect any subject or theme that inspires me in that week.

    • The winning piece will be chosen by public vote.
    • The winner will receive the morning drawing that won, but may also choose one of the other tagged morning drawings if they prefer.

    Open Edition & Timed Release Prints

    The monthly winning painting will be turned into a limited-time open edition print, available in three to five sizes.

    • Open Edition Prints: Unlimited prints
    • Timed Release Prints: Available for three days only
    • Prints may be re-released in the distant future (not within 12 months)
    • Applies to wall art only. The artwork may appear in books, journals, or other products

    Artwork Delivery

    The original painting will be shipped unmounted and “as is.”

    • Standard shipping costs are covered.
    • Expedited or upgraded postage can be arranged at your own expense — please contact me to organise.
    • Some morning drawings are painted on the back of older pieces that didn’t meet my standards. You may find another painting — or part of one — on the reverse side, adding a little mystery.

    Timing & Competition Duration

    • Weekly voting determines the painting finalists
    • The final vote occurs at the end of each month
    • The winning artwork will also be released as a timed open-edition print, available for three days only
    • The print drop opens one week after the final vote ends (dates shared on Instagram and via email)
    • Voting may take place across multiple social media platforms in the future, but the final winner is always chosen from the mailing list

    This Monthly Morning Drawing Giveaway will run for a maximum of one year from the launch date. The competition may be extended or revised at my discretion, but participants should enter knowing it is limited to this period.
